Swans selection musical chairs to continue; 7 added to squad, no Tippett

The Swans are set to make at least four changes for this Sunday's game against the Lions at the SCG, with seven players added to the squad.

Jarrad McVeigh, Sam Naismith and Aliir Aliir are among seven players that have been added to the Swans extended squad, but will still have to make do without Swans big man, Kurt Tippett.

Former captain Jarrad McVeigh, who has been restricted by calf injuries suffered during the pre-season, and more recently hamstring injuries, is looking to play his first game of the season.

Swans ruckman Sam Naismith is vying to make a comeback to the senior team, after injuring his knee in a training session before the West Coast Eagles match in round 4.

Oliver Florent, birthday boy Dean Towers, Harrison Marsh and Jordan Foote have been included in the extended squad, which will be cut down to the final 22 by Friday 5pm.

Gary Rohan (concussion) and Jeremy Laidler (achilles) are out of the side, along with James Rose and Brandon Jack who've both been omitted.

The teams will be officially released tomorrow afternoon. Until then, the Swans have released their extended squad on their website.
