Swans favourite son and premiership hero, Nick Malceski, announced his retirement from AFL yesterday. In a cruel twist of irony, he retired from the game from ongoing knee problems, having already recovered from three knee reconstructions. The Swans have announced two changes to their player list to go with the retirements of Ted Richards and Ben McGlynn. Ruckman Tom Derickx has retired, and Category B Rookie Kyle Galloway has been delisted. Derickx, 28, joined the Swans as a free agent from Richmond at the end of 2013 having played just 2 games.
