Xavier Richards among 3 to get the chop

In a colossal screw up by Richards and his Manager, Xavier has been delisted by the Swans. The club today announced their final list changes before the NAB Draft, with Hiscox and Davis joining Xavier. Richards played 10 games this season, for a career tally of 12, while Hiscox made his debut in '16 and Davis was yet to play for the senior team.

Xavier had previously request to be traded during the trade period, but was unable to find a new Victorian home with no interest coming his way. His manager recently expressed desire for Richards to remain in the Red & White next season, but that has now been rejected with the Swans cutting him.

Swans head of Football Tom Harley thanked all the players for their efforts while they were with the Swans.

“We would like to thank Xavier, Jack and Abaina for the contribution they made to the Club,” Harley said.

“All three players worked tirelessly while at the Swans and should be proud of their efforts.

“We wish Xavier, Jack and Abaina all the best for the future.”

Xavier Richards faces little chance of being re-drafted by the Swans with his AFL career at a cross roads.

Best of luck Xavier, next time, take the contract offer.
