Uncontracted Swans big man Toby Nankervis, has been traded to the Richmond Tigers for pick 46 in the 2016 draft. AFL writer Peter Ryan broke the trade story earlier this week, with the Swans agreeing to the deal this afternoon.
The 22 year old Tasmanian, originally from North Launceston Football Club, was taken by the Swans in the 2nd round of the 2013 NAB AFL draft, pick 35 overall.
He played 7 senior games for the club in 2016, including the semi-final win over Adelaide, but lost his place to the returning Kurt Tippett.
The Tigers are naturally delighted to have been able to recruit a ruck/forward of his caliber. He leaves the club with 3 goals to his name.
Best of luck Toby.
