As reported by Neil Cordy for The Daily Telegraph, Callum Sinclair looks to have won the selection race, to replace injured Kurt Tippett. Sinclair played 16 games last season, after being traded from the West Coast Eagles in a straight swap for Lewis Jetta.
He'll get his first chance of the season after Tippett hurt his ankle on Friday night, against the Western Bulldogs, in a marking contest. Cameron had an outstanding JLT pre-season, playing all three games, impressing with his marking and scoring ability.
Both players kicked two goals each in their last NEAFL match, so it was just down to a flip of the coin. While Cameron presents as a goal kicking threat, and possesses good skill for his size and age, Sinclair is more likely to break even in the ruck contests.
While the teams haven't been released, Cordy is typically the man in the know when it comes to the Swans, so we'll take his word for it. Had Cameron been selected for the match, he would have become the Swans 4th debutant of the season from last years draft, alongside Florent, Fox and Hayward.
