Tippett a chance to return for Eagles

Swans big man Kurt Tippett is a chance to play on Thursday night against the Eagles. A week ago, Tippett looked set for a long stint on the sidelines, but news early in the week allayed those fears.

“His injury isn’t really bad,” Swans coach John Longmire said.

“He is some chance of playing, he didn’t train last week so he will need to show something at training this week.”

The Swans haven't lost their first 4 games since 1993, which was their worst ever season, as Sydney Swans or South Melbourne, winning just 1 game for the season. We're a long way from that, and those dark days have long been in the rear view mirror.

“We plan to go over to Perth and be better than we have so far this season,’’ Longmire said. “We are certainly showing bits and pieces of good work in games. But bits and pieces aren’t enough to win games and it won’t be enough to win a game in Perth. We will take another young team to Perth and our aim is to be more consistent.”

We really need him to come back in for us. Sinclair wasn't good enough, and even if he misses out, we'll need to look at other options.
