Teams: Sydney vs Carlton, Saturday April 29th, 2:10pm AEST

The Swans have made three changes for the Saturday afternoon clash at the MCG against fellow cellar dwellers, Carlton.

Former captain Kieren Jack, who'll miss through injury, has been replaced in the side by his younger brother, Brandon Jack, and will be joined by Nic Newman and Jeremy Laidler, replacing Jordan Foote (omit) and Harry Marsh (omit).

Longmire is confident that Brandon Jack can do a job when called upon, based on his form in the reserves.

“He’s been one of our more consistent performers,” Longmire said of the younger Jack.

“He didn’t play at all last year, despite putting in some pretty consistent performances in our reserves.

While Marsh has displayed good form in defence, Longmire believes that the setback is minor, but with previous history, it wasn't worth risking him.

“He’s had a history of previous injuries in that area so it’s just too big of a risk to play him,” Longmire added.

The Swans still have to do without injured duo, ruckman Sam Naismith and Jarrad McVeigh, who injured his hamstring in training.
