The Swans have today confirmed that Gary Rohan has been ruled out of Sunday's clash against the Lions, after his spectacular fall against Carlton last week.
Rohan suffered concussion and whiplash when he landed on his neck, after cartwheeling over Sam Rowe in an attempted spoil in the 3rd quarter.
The latest injury is another in a long list of setbacks for the 25 year old, playing just 81 games in eight seasons with the Swans.
Coach John Longmire said that Gary was struggling with his movement early in the week, but expected him to make a quick recovery.
"He's in pretty good spirits and most importantly there's nothing seriously wrong with him, so he misses a game of footy but that’s pretty small in the bigger scheme of things," he said.
"He's had his fair share of challenges but he's always been able to come back from that and push through it.
"He realizes that he's pretty lucky but I think the way he came back from his broken leg indicates that he's able to get through things and still be a valuable player for us."
Wish him all the best and can't wait to have him back in the team kicking goals.
