The Swans have been forced into a change ahead of the St Kilda Pride game on Saturday night, with tall forward Sam Reid failing to recover in time.
Sam Reid's groin tightened up in the opening minutes of the Giants clash last Saturday night, and while he pulled up OK from the match, he failed to train much throughout the week.
Longmire said that the forward was given every opportunity to prove his fitness.
“Sam tightened up early in the first quarter last week and actually pulled up ok during the week,” Longmire said.
“Unfortunately he couldn’t do a lot at training today so that means he is out.”
Reid's exclusion means the timely return of inform Callum Sinclair, who's shown strong form in the NEAFL, including four goals in a best on ground effort against the Suns a fortnight ago.
The big man has played 11 games this season, and will provide a valuable 2nd ruck and forward option.
“He has been really good for our reserves and kicked nine goals over the last couple of weeks,” Longmire told Centrum Team Selection.
“His form in the ruck was solid for us before he went out of the team and we know he is a good marking target for us in the front half so he gets another opportunity.
“He was actually in good form before he went out of the team.”
