The Swans have today survived the MRP lotto, with key defender Heath Grundy cleared of who knows what this afternoon.
An MRP preview video posted this morning, attempted to cast aspersions for a Grundy bump on the calamitous Casboult, who had turned into Heath without looking.
Anyone with half-a-brain would have figured that this should have been left on the scrap heap, along with the numpties that brought it up.
Fortunately the MRP ruled with the heads instead of their hearts on this one, and didn't refer to the AFLs punishment card for random contact in a physical game.
"As Casboult changed direction, he looked to engage his opponent and the pair made contact, with Grundy bracing for the contact," the MRP said in its findings.
"Casboult went to ground but it was the view of the panel the Sydney player’s actions were not unreasonable in the circumstances."
Casboult spent a few moments in the hands of trainers after he turned into Grundy, who was running in a straight line, and had no changed direction before the contact, merely bracing.
