2018 Player Sponsorship Program Terms and Conditions

The Swans Blog is delighted to be a 2018 Sydney Swans Redback member. We have purchased a Double Redback Membership, in the name of The Swans Blog, and we're excited for season 2018!

While we're delighted to be members ourselves in such a prestigious, respected and loved club, we're extending the opportunity to you, followers and readers of The Swans Blog, to share in our experience and to become a membership with us.

What are we asking?
We're looking for 24 supporters, followers and readers, to join us on our 2018 maiden journey. You'll share the excitement of the Sydney Swans journey, participate in match functions, have your say in who we nominate, as well as the football tips.

What's in it for me?
As one of 24 supporters, you will attend at least one home or away match, with eleven (11) played at the SCG (enjoying our PLATINUM reserved seats valued at $80, including free car parking1), and one (1) at the MCG. You'll have the opportunity to attend pre-match and post-match Redback member functions, mingle with fellow Redback supporters and the players, and access bar and dining facilities in the MA Noble Stand (SCG) before the first bounce2.

Best of all, if the Swans make it to the Grand Final in 2018, you could be the one representing us!

How much will this cost me?
We've already bought the membership, so now it's time for you to come on board! All you need to pay to join us, is $50 AUD! Imagine that, access to a Grand Final ticket for just $50! Not to mention you could get access to one or more home games in seats valued at $80 per game, for just $50!

What exactly will I get? Depending on the number of supporters we have, you will have:

  • Access to 1 or more Sydney Swans home or away games,
  • Access to the MCG reserve when the Swans play in Melbourne3,
  • Match-day parking at the SCG 1,
  • Your say on who The Swans Blog sponsors for season 20184,
  • Your say in the football tipping competition 5
  • A chance to win our Redback supporters back, including ISC Cap and cooler bag
  • A chance to win a double ticket to the Redback Cocktail Party, or Redback pre-match function

Register your interest today and let us know you want to be apart of our journey!

The nitty gritty details...

The promotion ("2018 Player Sponsorship Program"), run by The Swans Blog ("Owner"), consists of individuals agreeing and financially committing to being a member of The Swans Blog's Group Redback Membership for season 2018.

Entry is limited to the first 24 individuals that agree to commit. Additional individuals that express an interest to commit will be placed on a waiting list in the event that one or more of the first 24 individuals pull-out, or fail to commit financially.

Each individual that expresses interest in the promotion, does so with the understanding that they will be paying their $50 entry fee before the start of the JLT Community Cup, Friday February 23rd, at 5.00pm AESDT.

Each member of the Group Redback Membership will get:

  • Access to 1 or more Sydney Swans home or away games,
  • Access to the MCG reserve when the Swans play in Melbourne3,
  • Free match-day parking at the SCG 1,
  • Your say on who The Swans Blog sponsors for season 20184,
  • Your say in the football tipping competition 5
  • A chance to win our Redback supporters back, including ISC Cap and cooler bag
  • A chance to win a double ticket to the Redback Cocktail Party, or Redback pre-match function

During the regular season, each entrant will have a minimum one (1) entry to a home game at the SCG in The Swans Blog's PLATINUM Reserved seats, or to an away game at the MCG, with access to the AFL Members Reserve (depending on capacity).

If there are less than 24 entrants, an individual may be invited to attend more than 1 match at no additional cost, or may be granted the opportunity to bring a guest to the match, at no additional cost. This is at the discretion of owner and may be revoked at any time.

Access to tickets for the the AFL's 2018 Finals Series, and the 2018 Grand Final will be raffled between the 24 supporters, with each entrant (24) having one (1) ticket to the draw. The draw will be random and made using random.org draws, with the full result public and available online.

For each home final the Sydney Swans play during the 2018 AFL Finals Series, the raffle is drawn with the winner announced the following Monday morning. The winner will need to confirm their attendance in 24 hours, and if they can't attend, or are unable to respond in 24 hours, the raffle will be re-drawn until a winner is selected.

Winners of each finals draw, may be drawn in future finals draws at the discretion of the owner, and in the interest of fairness to the other members. If the drawn individual does not, or cannot attend the game, it is the discretion of the owner that they be allowed to enter future draws.

In the event the Sydney Swans make the 2018 AFL Grand Final, the winner will be announced the following day, and the individual will have 12 hours to confirm. The owner will purchase the tickets on behalf of the winner, with the winner paying the cost of the tickets, plus shipping (the cost of the winners preferred shipping method), and any other fee incurred by the ticket selling agent. Grand Final tickets will be non-standing best available, and can be anywhere from Category 1 to Category 7.
