Sydney Swans superstar forward Lance Franklin is the joint leader in the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year Award after Round 1.
Polling a perfect 10 with his dominant performance against West Coast on Sunday night, he finished as the second highest AFL Fantasy ranked player of the round behind former-Swan-turned-Hawk ball magnet, Tom Mitchell.
Franklin's stellar game was in fact so good, that his eight-goal performance was rated as the 5th best game since 2010, even better than his 10 goal haul against Carlton in Round 23 last season.
Champion Data's Schick AFL Player Ratings saw the Swan rack up a massive 39.9 points, rising to a career-high rank of No. 6 in the Player Ratings.
The 2017 Coleman medalists' 8-goal game catapulted him to the top of the goal kicking leaderboard, two-goals ahead of Greater Western Sydney's Jeremy Cameron.
