For the third time in as many weeks, a Sydney Swans player has been nominated for the AFL Goal of the Week award.
The AFL has selected its three nominations for Round three's goal of the week, including the game winning bomb by Lance Franklin against Greater Western Sydney.
Lance Franklin's amazing goal with just 5 minutes remaining was enough to seal victory for the Swans, fighting off a stirring fourth quarter comeback by the Giants.
The Swans won the centre clearance, with midfielder Isaac Heeney dishing out the handball to Franklin, who then laid an emphatic fend-off on defender Nick Haynes and slammed home the goal on the run from 70m out.
The 874-goal champion bagged two majors on Saturday night, his the last two goals of the game for the Swans, clinching victory in a hard fought affair - it was his first goal that received the nomination.
Adelaide's Eddie Betts and Richmond's Jack Higgins also received nominations, Betts for a boundary line snap and Higgins snagged out of midair in the goal square.
Make sure you get over to the AFL site, sign-up if you have to, and vote for Franklin.
All members of the public that pick the winner of the week go into the Coats Hire draw to win $10,000 at the end of the season.
Voting closes Thursday night, so get voting!
