Zak Jones pulls the votes

Zak Jones was the lone Swan to poll AFLCA votes after Friday nights’ 10-point loss to the Adelaide Crows at the SCG.

The Swans chased the game for most of the night, reducing the margin to two points before a spirited fightback by the Adelaide Crows put the match out of reach.

While Heeney was arguably the best for the Swans, the coaches sided with Jones, who had one of his best games for the Swans in his fledgling career.

Jones collected 27 disposals and five marks and kicked the Swans’ first goal of the game.

Crows players dominated the rest of the votes, with Seedsman picking up the full 10 after an outstanding game, with Atkins receiving 7 and Walker 6 votes each.

Seedsman thrived on Friday night, tearing up the Swans midfield. He earned the full 10 votes and finished the match with 26-disposals and a match-high 640 metres gained, and kicked a crucial third quarter goal.
