Kennedy and Sinclair share the spoils

Sydney Swans captain Josh Kennedy and ruckman Callum Sinclair shared the votes in the Swans' round 6 victory over the Geelong Cats.

Kennedy was widely applauded for his emphatic return to form, with 13-disposals and six clearances in the final quarter.

However, the win wasn't all on the shoulders of Kennedy, with Sinclair recovering from a mid-game slump to dominate the last quarter, collecting five disposals and taking three crucial marks.

In tandem, the unlikely dynamic Swan duo formed a formidable partnership in the contests, with Sinclair racking up a game-high nine disposals to quarter time, and 13 hit-outs.

Together, they recorded more than 30 contested disposals and 17 clearances, three more than Duncan, Dangerfield and Selwood combined, with Sinclair regularly giving first use to his midfield.

The Swans ran out 17-point winners on the back of a seven-goal last quarter, thanks largely to the dominant efforts of Sinclair and Kennedy.

For their efforts, they received 9 votes each, with midfielders Jake Lloyd and Isaac Heeney receiving three votes and one respectively.

Kennedy’s nine votes is his first votes for the season, while Callum Sinclair previously received eight in the Swans’ win against Greater Western Sydney in round 3.
