Coaches vote captain Kennedy best for the Swans

Sydney Swans captain Josh Kennedy has been rated the best Swan afield in the Swans' last-gasp loss to the Roos in Round 7.

Shaun Higgins and Mason Wood deservedly shared the votes for the Roos, with nine each for their match winning performances.

Kennedy was a man on a mission for the Swans, dominating the midfield with a game-high 9 clearances, 10 inside 50s and 9 tackles.

Playing a lone hand, he collected 31 disposals with the next best Swan, Kieren Jack, picking up 24 disposals, but going at 50 percent disposal efficiency with five turnovers.

Callum Sinclair was superb in the ruck, but more significantly, dominated Todd Goldstein around the ground, collecting 20 disposals, 7 marks and 3 clearances, to go with his 27 hit-outs.

Heath Grundy was a rock in defence for the Swans, registering an incredible 91 percent disposal efficiency from 22 disposals.

He lead both teams with 11 intercept possessions and registered 401 metres gained, exceeding his personal best midway through the second quarter.
