Each round we'll be posting our votes for The Swans Blog's Player of the Year award.
The players will be voted on their performance on the day regardless of previous form. The player with the highest number of votes at the end of the season, wins. Simple.
Round 9 saw the Swans dominate from the first bounce at the SCG against the Fremantle Dockers, running out comfortable 59-point winners on Saturday night.
With Franklin and Hannebery returning to the side, the Swans perhaps expecting a strong forward-half dominant performance, instead found themselves grimly defending.
Jake Lloyd, Jarrad McVeigh, Dane Rampe and Callum Mills were superb for the Swans in the first quarter, while Isaac Heeney, Zak Jones, Luke Parker and Kieren Jack found plenty of ball.
Franklin was a slow burner, working his way into the game before exploding into life in the third quarter, after accidentally knocking Hamling out, late in the second quarter.
He shared goal kicking honours with Kennedy, kicking three each, with Tom Papley and Tom McCartin kicking two each.
While the Swans found scoring difficult in Lance Franklin's absence, there was no such worries at the SCG with the Swans finding 11 different goal kickers, four of those multiple scorers.
