The Sydney Swans have made a late change ahead of Sydney Derby XV with Jordan Dawson (managed) replaced in the side by defender Robbie Fox.
21-year-old Jordan Dawson had played three games in a row for the Swans, impressing in the Swans 9-point win against the Demons in Round 21.
Speaking to SwansTV, midfield coach Brett Kirk said that the change was made to manage the forward, who was coming off of a 6-day break.
“Jordan Dawson comes out with a six-day break, and we’ve decided to manage him,” Kirk said.
“We’re brought in Robbie Fox, (it’s) a great opportunity for Robbie.
“He’s played a handful of games and hopefully he can come in, play forward and play a real role for us.”
Robbie Fox has played 8 games for the Swans this season, averaging 12 disposals and booting four goals, while Dawson has averaged 13 disposals and more than a goal a game.
The Giants go into the game unchanged.
