Player ratings: Sydney Swans vs Carlton Blues, Round 3, 2019

Finally, the Swans are on the board with an important win against a gritty Carlton outfit, in what turned out to be a quality, entertaining game.

Both sides were missing a handful of players, and lost a handful more during the game, fought it out the final five minutes - until Mr Blonde Bombshell Isaac Heeney stood up and said "I got this".

The umpiring was another steaming hot cup of foul tasting joe, with Heeney booting his fourth and the final goal of the game from a generous free kick. It was certainly the leveller the Swans deserved after Carlton had the rub of the green, yellow and white.

Not sure what's going on at the AFL department at the moment, with the quality and consistency of umpiring yo-yoing between the polar-opposite extremes. At least this time we didn't see a free kick for pats on the back.

B: Jake Lloyd, Dane Rampe, Callum Mills
HB: Zak Jones, Aliir Aliir, Jarrad McVeigh
C: Harry Cunningham, Isaac Heeney, Will Hayward
HF: Tom Papley, Lance Franklin, Nick Blakey
F: Tom McCartin, Sam Reid, Ben Ronke
FOL: Callum Sinclair, Luke Parker, Josh P. Kennedy
I/C: Jackson Thurlow, Oliver Florent, George Hewett, Jordan Dawson
