Teams: Sydney Swans vs Melbourne Demons, Round 22, 2019

The Swans have made one change to their side, welcoming back veteran Kieren Jack, to face the Melbourne Demons at the MCG on Friday night.

Jack returns to the side after being omitted from the team last week, replacing injured midfielder Zak Jones (hamstring).

The 32-year-old has been encouraged by media commentators to retire at season's end, and will need to show significant improvement in the final two rounds to assuage those calls.

Averaging a paltry 9.8 disposals from 6 games this season, well down on his career average of 20, Jack faces an uphill battle to prove that he's still worthy of a spot in the developing Sydney midfield.

Sydney Swans senior coach John Longmire said it was nice to be able to add experience back into the team.

"Unforuntately Zak hurt his hamstring a little bit at training on Wednesday so he is out of the team which is unforunate for him," Longmire said.

"We get Kieren back into the team and we know his experience which is great for the team."
