What a win. No one gave us a chance to win - only the pick of death, and we spanked the Lions on their home deck. They're heavily fancied contenders, and they showed patches of electric play. We came and we conquered against a high quality team.
We just wanted to see the three new kids play well, contribute and put their hands up for continued selection. No one in their wildest imagination expected McDonald and Gulden to kick 6 goals, or Braden Campbell to lock down a spot on debut.
I can't remember the last time Sydney played like this. Scintillating, fast, clean, precise and just outright brutal. The Lions couldn't handle the movement and the pace. They had well and truly given up before three-quarter time.
23 marks inside forward 50. We lost the clearances, but torched them on the turnover. It was just unbelievable. Mills clear best on ground in his first crack in the midfield.
Even with the players we have out, it's a hard sell to change things up. Adelaide will be living a week-long nightmare.
