Bio
James Rose is a professional footballer who plays for the Sydney Swans. He was recruited via the AFL National Draft in 2014, taken with pick 37.
A former Sturt prospect from South Australia, the forward has found his opportunities hard to come by since his debut in round 21, 2015. The emergence of Hewett, Papley, Florent and Hayward, as well as McGlynn's return to the senior side in 2016, meant that he spent considerable time in the NEAFL.
Aggressive on the ground and strong in the air, the your forward has produced quality in the NEAFL. He will be looking to translate those strong performances at AFL level, cementing a place in the senior team.
He can find the football and can use it well, attributes which help his cause, given the recent retirement of Ben McGlynn and competition for positions in the team.
