SwansCast Episode 3 - The eye of the Tiger

Good afternoon all and welcome to another fantastic post-win week at The Swans Blog. How good was last Thursday night against the Dogs! Our best performance of the year can only be backed up by another fantastic Podcast.

In today's episode (recorded last night) I'm joined by Stephen Treloar from Over the line Sports and Glenn from BigFooty, to provide the Richmond perspective.

Surprisingly, given the victory, it's been another quiet week from the Swans. Leading up to the Hawks game there was a lot of chatter and articles produced on the Swans site, and a lot of positive Swans talk in the media. Over the last three weeks it's been very quiet.

John Longmire fronted the media this morning and spoke about the Richmond game, but also about Kurt Tippett and what he needs to do to make his way back into the senior team. One word in particular stuck out and it perfectly sums up his biggest hurdle, and arguably the one area of his game that he's been criticised the most over - presence.

If you haven't seen it yet, check out yesterday's blog post on Kurt Tippett, where I discuss his worth in terms of retaining Sam Reid and Zak Jones. Hopefully its not a case of his massive contract causing issues, but you never know when you're paying over $2m per season for two players.

Anyhow, it's a circular discussion and there's better things to talk about today. Such as the latest episode of the SwansCast! Stephen and I had a great chat with Glenn and hopefully he'll join us again in future episodes.

... we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading The Swans Blog than ever, but we don't accept advertising, and don't want to do so in the future. Unlike many other news and media organisations, fan forums and fan media, we haven't put up a paywall, or displayed ads - we want to keep our content as open as possible.

The Swans Blog is an independent fan blog and community platform. Our content takes a lot of time and hard work to produce. We do it because we love what we do and we believe our perspective matters - because it may be your perspective too.

If everyone who reads our blog, who likes it, is supporting it, our future would be much more secure.
