The Swans have announced two changes ahead of their Round 2 clash against the Adelaide Crows at the SCG on Friday night.
Electric forward Ben Ronke and defender Colin O'Riordan have been drafted into the side that lost their season-opening clash against the Bulldogs on Saturday night, replacing Jordan Dawson (omitted) and Heath Grundy (injured).
Coach John Longmire said that Ronke would add important forward-half pressure.
“He missed a couple of games during the pre-season but then came back and played really well last week in our reserves,” Longmire told QBE Team Selection.
“He gives us enormous pressure and speed in out front half, and that’s what we’re after at the moment.”
O'Riordan made his debut in Sydney's 6-point Round 17 win last year, impressing with 8 marks, 19 disposals and 10 intercept possessions.
“He’s a real competitor Colin,” Longmire said on his inclusion.
“He’s had a good pre-season, he can play on tall and small players in our defence and gives us some more run.
“So once again he’s another player who can add some real versatility to our team.”
Jordan Dawson has been omitted from the team, while Heath Grundy misses through injury.
