Each round we'll be posting our votes for The Swans Blog's Player of the Year award.
The players will be voted on their performance on the day regardless of previous form. The player with the highest number of votes at the end of the season, wins. Simple.
Round 2 saw the Swans play their first home game of the season at the SCG against the Adelaide Crows on Friday night.
Despite promising signs early in the first quarter, Sydney's work rate fell away, conceding a 21-point first quarter lead.
Despite an improved second quarter and fiercely contested third quarter, two late goals by the Crows before the final break was enough to seal the win.
Captain Josh Kennedy was unstoppable in the midfield, while forward Lance Franklin kicked three goals, two of which were from deep in the pocket against the boundary line.
Luke Parker worked hard all game, putting his body on line in the second quarter, while Aliir Aliir kept Josh Jenkins quiet in the forward line.
Tom Papley, for the second week in a row, proved himself one of the best contested ball winners for the Swans in the first half, kick starting their resurgent second quarter with a clinical centre clearance.
