Each round we'll be posting our votes for The Swans Blog's Player of the Year award.
The players will be voted on their performance on the day regardless of previous form. The player with the highest number of votes at the end of the season, wins. Simple.
Round 4 saw the Swans take on the Melbourne Demons at the SCG on Thursday night.
Coming off a 5-day break, it was always going to be tough for the Swans to restrict the Demons run.
Opening a 22-point lead early in the second quarter, it looked as though the Swans would walk to victory.
Nathan Jones' fired the Demons to life with two quick goals, while the Swans lagged and started turning the ball over.
A 4-goal-to-1 third quarter set the win up for the Demons, while a brief glimmer midway through the final stanza gave the Swans' faithful hope.
Isaac Heeney fired for the Swans in the first half, combining with youngster Oliver Florent, registering 31 disposals and 3 centre clearances between them.
Aliir Aliir was superb in defence, laying arguably the spoil of the season, saving a certain goal when the Demons were starting to surge.
Harry Cunningham was consistent throughout the night, letting his work speak for itself, with 25 disposals, 22 pressure acts and 575 metres gained.
